The Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight Foundation is situated on the southern part of Gilze-Rijen Air Base, and it can be reached through the Main gate or at the Bavel Gate. Please remember that prior notification through the SKHV is required to have access to the air base.
The SKHV has various hangars and buildings at its disposal, which have recently been renovated, insulated and provided with heating, most of which are to be found around the platforms, the crewroom and the air traffic control tower. In addition to a number of hangars for the accommodation of the historical fleet, the SKHV has a professionally equipped maintenance hangar, buildings in which aircraft components are kept in conservation storage, and spaces where industrial substances are stored responsibly and in accordance with legal regulations. Part of the historical collection is exhibited in the SKHV museum.The crewroom is the meeting-place for all SKHV participants, and it is furnished for the reception of guests who want to experience a day of historical aviation. One of the SKHV hangars is fitted up multifunctionally, making it suitable not only for the accommodation of aircraft, but also permitting a transformation, in no time at all, into a tasteful space for a congress or a business presentation, among other things. In combination with a tour of the museum, a view of our fleet and a flight in one of our historical planes, the SKHV can thus organize a unique business event.
